This disc contains all four books of Mompou's piano cycle Música Callada,
composed between 1959 and 1967. Mompou (1893 - 1987) was born in
Barcelona and spent a great deal of his life traveling between Spain and
Paris, where he was influenced by the musical language of Debussy and
Satie. This collection of short pieces has a strong affinity with the
impressionist music of Satie.
