ECM voted “label of the year” by Jazz Journalists Association
ECM Records has been voted “Label Of The Year” at the 16th annual JJA Jazz Awards Awards gala on June 20, 2012 at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. The Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) is an international non-profit corporation, promoting the interests of writers, photographers, broadcasters and new media professionals covering jazz.
Their awards honor excellence in jazz music, recordings, presentation and journalism.
Other winners at the 2012 awards included Sonny Rollins (‘Musician Of The Year’)and Horace Silver (‘Lifetime Achievement In Jazz’).
